I loved the healing of the dog Einstein in "Bringing Einstein home" by Ann Brown, in the Sentinel of January 18 and 25 on hope. What love and joy this dog expressed in the healing of his legs as he came home "walking, and leaping, and praising God," as Acts 3:8 puts it.

When the story of the healing of the lame man by Peter and John in Acts was in the Christian Science Bible Lesson, I told this healing of Einstein to my Sunday School pupil.

Ann Brown mentioned a statement in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, where Mary Baker Eddy says, "God is the Life, or intelligence, which forms and preserves the individuality and identity of animals as well as of men" (p. 550). As a child, I found this helpful in healing my canary.
