I became acquainted with Christian Science in my workplace about 20 years ago. My boss was a Christian Scientist and, whenever he noticed that one of his employees was having a problem, he would lend us the book Science and Health. Reading it was pleasant, and it helped all of us.

One day, when I felt very troubled by a personal problem, I asked my boss to lend me the book so that I could read it at home in peace, and he agreed.

Up to this point, although the ideas in the book had comforted me during difficult situations, I had not put them into practice. As I read deeper into the book, I began to understand the Bible better. Mary Baker Eddy, the author of Science and Health, presented in a simple manner the spiritual laws that allow us to put into practice the teachings of the Bible, which lead us to find healing and solutions for every problem. This led me to study Christian Science.
