LETTERS
I have been remiss for waiting so long to write you about the October 26, 2009, issue of the Sentinel. When I saw the title "Healing answers to domestic violence," I thought, Well, this doesn't have much to do with me. However, since I read every issue, I sat down to read it cover to cover. Then I discovered that it was one of the most helpful, healing, delightful, and interesting issues I have read in a long time.
The wonderful interview with Marivic Mabanag about her work to help those in domestic violence situations was truly inspiring. Her persistence and love, and willingness to lift off labels for both men and woman were wonderful.
The anonymous article by a woman who was in a very difficult marriage was full of Christliness. The way she worked out forgiveness even towards her husband's turning her children against her for a while was deeply humbling to me.
