[THE FOLLOWING LETTER was a published reply to a November 27, 2009, Boston Globe editorial titled, "No prayers in health bill."]
I can understand the concerns of people who do not have experience with the cost-effective healing result of Christian Science treatment. As someone whose childhood was peppered with extensive periods of ill health, I appreciated the services of our family physician. As an adult whose excellent health results from having learned about Christian Science, I offer the following considerations:
Medical care and healthcare are not synonymous. Many of us maintain our health with methods other than standard medical care. . . .
