Our biweekly series on how people have nurtured their public practice of Christian Science healing.
ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER
MY PATH IN LIFE
AS I PREPARED to return to the university for my junior year, I had a distinct visual picture of two possible paths in life. One was to become an artist, and the other to become a Christian Science practitioner.
At the time, I was surprised that the idea of becoming a practitioner had even occurred to me. While I attended a Christian Science Sunday School intermittently, I really didn't know what a practitioner did. I hadn't worked with one. I hadn't even been healed through Christian Science yet.
I chose to be an artist. But one thing I learned, and still am learning, is that God's will is really the only will. To obey our Father-Mother God is to be genuinely true to ourselves, for we are His ideas, made in His own image and likeness.
