UNIVERSAL LAW OF LOVE

This Week's Christian Science Bible Lesson, titled "Love," offers many examples that love is God's law. By appealing to this law, our eyes are opened to its universality and practicality.

In Hebrew Scripture, hesed is the term used to describe God's nature, over and over again, and the spirit of this word is prominent in the Golden Text and in the first and second sections of this Lesson.

Hesed can be translated different ways, such as "compassion" or "lovingkindness." It's also often translated "steadfast love." I like "steadfast love" because it indicates to me that God has a firm grip on us and is not letting go!
