Themes of beauty and loveliness thread their way through the Bible. They bring with them the power, peace, and comfort of God's embrace—the glorious beauty that doesn't fade, a holy love that turns mourning into joy.

Those same ideas weave throughout Mary Baker Eddy's writings, grounding beauty in the spiritual and making it "a thing of life" (Science and Health, p. 247).

Beauty, it seemed to us, would be a very natural focus for this special double issue of the Sentinel. We hope you'll find inspiration and healing in each writer's offering.
