LETTERS
I just started reading the article "Women uplifted, humanity redeemed" by Robin Hoagland in tthe February 2 Sentinel ["Women in today's world"]. What a wonderful article, which shines such a bright light on how women can overcome obstacles in all phases of their lives.
One point I want to make is about one of the opening lines that says, "Woman was not created to suffer." As I read through the article, I found no reference to two of my favorite descriptions in the Glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, and they are the ones of bride and bridegroom. Part of the description of bride is "enjoys but cannot suffer." I've shared this thought with many women I've known who seemed to be going through difficult times, and they've been grateful.
