grace MOVED ME FORWARD

For me grace is the approach to everyday life that comes from being guided by inspired thoughts from God, rather than human will. It's the process of letting go of fears of being limited, a process that leads to seeing an opportunity rather than a challenge. Grace is giving gratitude despite circumstances, finding the good in others and in the moment. It's about the patience to sit back and see what God has planned, rather than reacting, which for me hasn't always been easy. And it's about letting each moment teach you rather than trying to direct each moment.

About ten years ago, I needed all the patience and gratitude I could muster to see and feel such grace in action. A recent divorce had left me feeling overwhelmed as I struggled through decisions about finances, parenting, and a career. Yet, at the same time, I felt amazingly supported by glimpses of light, moments of grace, which I became more and more aware of.

I craved a lasting way to consistently feel the love of God. Christian Science had revealed to me that He was with me no matter what the struggle—always ready to move me forward.
