THE HEALING PRESENCE OF MOTHER-LOVE

The following is an adaptation of an August 11 Sentinel Radio interview with KARL (SANDY) SANDBERG, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher from Norwell, Massachusetts. Sandy spoke candidly about how Christian Science healed his grief after a loved one's passing, and provided a clear message about the nature of eternal Life.

WHEN I was a young boy, my mother opened the doorway for me to discover my relationship with God, as one of His beloved children.

I'd been seriously ill, near death, and with the prayers of my mom and dad and a Christian Science practitioner, I was completely healed. During this time, my mother read the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson with me every day, and I developed the desire to know God the way I felt my mom did. A bonding took place between us, something that couldn't be broken, because it was based on God's great love.
