HEALED OF MENSTRUAL PAIN
Whenever I read the Lord's Prayer, I'm reminded of my first steps as a student of Christian Science.
A relative planned to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I asked if I could go along. Although I didn't understand what I heard in the service, my heart responded to the atmosphere of love that I felt. It was so tangible to me that I left that service with a renewed sense of joy for life.
Two days later, I found myself feeling ill and in great pain from menstrual cramps. They were severer than any I'd suffered before. I remembered a "kitchen remedy" I'd heard about at school, and considered whether to make the trip downstairs to see if I had this "cure" on hand. But I didn't feel up to negotiating the stairs, so I began to think about what else I could do.
