PERMANENT HEALING OF KNEE INJURY
One August day in 2004, I was running along the beach. As I rounded a bend in the shoreline, the breeze picked up, sending my ten-gallon straw hat sailing. I accelerated my pace and raced after it.
Suddenly I felt several popping sensations in my left knee and skidded to a halt. As I bent over to pick up my hat, my thoughts were already focusing in prayer on a fundamental metaphysical truth—that of my unbreakable relationship with God as His reflection. I knew that this relationship precluded the possibility of an accident, since God, being All and entirely good, is constantly enfolding us in His love, where there is no opportunity for harm to reach us.
Though my knee didn't feel normal, there was no pain, and I stayed a little longer and had a swim before heading home.
