BRINGING OUT THE BEST
MY WIFE AND I both have strengths that carry our marriage to places we wouldn't go alone. For example, some years ago, we were renting an apartment. I was certain that buying a house was out of the question. However, one day my wife came home and said she'd heard that a fellow artist, who wasn't earning more than she was, had just bought a place. Surely we could do the same?
My wife was so confident, and her vision so positive, that I was swept along toward a goal I couldn't have imagined. Less than a year later, we owned a condo just a few blocks from our old apartment.
My wife and I often talk about our marriage as, among other things, a partnership, especially when one of us brings progress to us both. Not only does my partner's strength bless our union, but also it inspires me to reach for that same strength myself.
