LETTERS
I always begin my Sentinel reading by checking the back page article from the editors—I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the good I've received from the thoughts expressed. Then I check the Letters to the Editor.
In the February 19 Sentinel ["Creativity"], Ann Hymes's letter pointed out a sentence I'd read in the January 15 issue regarding Darfur, which hadn't really registered then: "I will refuse to resign myself to the inevitability of accelerating evil." This was so helpful—not only for Darfur, but for the violence between the Sunni and Shia in Iraq. I had accepted the picture of ethnic hatred and thought it was inevitable.
The solution won't be a military or political one, but spiritual. I need to pray—to know that one Mind reigns and the brotherhood of man can be demonstrated now. God is Love. There is no "inevitability of accelerating evil."
