NEVER OUT OF STEP WITH GOD

I wakened one morning to find that my right leg was quite red and very swollen. It was extremely painful. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me, and a Christian Science nurse came to see me and helped me find a comfortable position to rest my leg. Since I was unable to move freely, I felt that I shouldn't be alone in my apartment. I decided to go to my daughter's home.

For the next week, I was tenderly given Christian Science treatment and lots of family love. I spent my daylight hours on the sofa in my daughter's living room, quietly affirming my true spiritual identity, which I knew from my study of the Bible and the teachings of Christian Science to be as perfect as God made me. My teenage grandson was so gracious and loving, even with his steady stream of friends coming through the living room. Whenever I needed to get up, his arm was right there to support me. I couldn't help relating to the everpresent arms of divine Love which are always there to hold and support all of us:
