LETTERS

Reading the Sentinel is a big part of my week, and quite often I will share an article with my wife, who is a devout Catholic, and who loves listening to God's goodness being revealed.

The interview with Victor Westberg in the September 10 issue ["Putting God first"] about the company he owned almost tripling its business in the afternoon, after having been advised that morning to reduce its size, impressed her greatly. She'd been worrying about a young African man, who was organizing a shipping container of clothing, toys, and educational material to go to Sierra Leone at the end of October. She had told him that one of her sons would be able to give him around ten used computers, but this had not come about, and she felt she had let the young man down.

After hearing about Mr. Westberg's experience, she decided she would have to pray as he had, and understand that God had already supplied everything that the young man needed for his project. The next morning she came home from Mass in awe at what she had found out. Some of the parishioners who belong to a computer club gave at least ten computers, and the local Catholic school chipped in with another four. There is also the possibility of another computer club coming up with a few. My wife is ecstatic.
