NO MORE SOAP OPERAS
IT WAS A LATE AUGUST AFTERNOON.
The children were playing happily. I switched on the TV to catch up on a soap opera I hadn't watched for a couple of weeks. The same shallow characters had made no progress in disentangling themselves from the same sordid predicaments. I turned it off, exclaiming to myself, "This is ridiculous! Why should I waste my time watching soap operas, when I can give real help to real people?"
