The May 2 editorial "What are we waiting for?" asks if we have the fervor that makes sharing Christian Science a natural impulse, quoting from a Nicholas Kristof New York Times piece about the growth of evangelical and Pentecostal denominations in the non Western world: "Where faith is easy, it is fading; where it's a challenge, it thrives."

The two Christian Science churches in our community recently co-sponsored an interfaith forum, at which a Christian Science lecturer was one of four panelists to address "A Spiritual Basis for Dealing with Our Differences." The others represented Islam, Buddhism, and another Christian denomination. The panelists' talks were followed by an appreciative inquiry session for the audience of 95. People from other denominations and no denomination, and several who study Science and Health turned out.

As we become more comfortable with interfaith dialogue—listening with love and respect—Christian Science and the churches organized around it will be increasingly visible as offering inspiration and healing to a weary world. Thanks for encouraging us to think and act on the knowledge that "we live in an age of Love's divine adventure to be All-in-all" (Mary Baker Eddy, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p.158).
