LETTERS

I found the article from the editors on page 28 in the September 12 issue, "The most powerful aid," a clear way to direct our prayers, to give a Christian Science treatment to address the disaster involving Hurricane Katrina. Though the article was written before Katrina and was regarding the needs in Africa, it directly applies to the current challenges in the United States. It states: "Through this prayer [scientific prayer], and our understanding of God's constant benevolence, we can see past the images of hunger, risk, and desperation to behold every single person as cared for, beloved, guarded, and supplied by divine Love....that that in whatever circumstance, no matter how dire, 'Thou [You, God,] art there.'''

Thank you for every issue of the Sentinel. As chaplain in a women's jail, I hear over and over how much the Sentinel is sought after and valued by the inmates.
