Focus on divine justice

The words justice and its close companion fairness evoke strong feelings in all but those who have never experienced them in their lives. And one might call it a serious injustice that there are still so many people in the world whose lives haven't been enriched by them.

Of an urgent nature, issues of justice have arisen in recent weeks over the loss of life, livelihoods, and homes on the Gulf Coast of the United States.

Justice and fairness range widely over a multitude of geographical areas and circumstances. Oppressed or impoverished people the world over cry out for relief from unjust leaders. Human rights organizations constantly implore the media to help bring enlightenment to everyone by drawing attention to such issues as starving or diseased millions, the oppression of women in many cultures, and continuing tribal conflicts.
