ONLY A DREAM

THERE I WAS, STRUGGLING TO KEEP A BIG BLACK BEAR FROM COMING INTO my home. He wasn't growling or acting aggressively. He just wanted to come in. No one else seemed to be paying attention, but fortunately, I was able to stay one step ahead of the bear, one doorway at a time. At the last door, a huge paw touched my hand.

Exciting story, isn't it? That's what it was and is—a story. I woke up to find I was in my cozy bed with another glorious day dawning. There was no bear. It was all a dream.

How grateful I was not to have to keep one step ahead of a big black bear, even though a few moments earlier, that picture had seemed very real.
