Curing asthma by being grateful
IT WAS MY FIRST JOB as a camp counselor, and I wondered if I'd be able to make it. The kids hadn't even arrived yet, and here I was flat on my back in the camp infirmary with asthma.
My mother had asthma and was continually taking medication. A variety of alternative therapies had only given her temporary relief. Now, as an 18-year-old, I was scared this disease would attach itself to me permanently and I would suffer a similar fate.
But I had found something else—spiritual healing. I was determined to see if the ideas I was learning in the Bible and Science and Health were true—if I could really rely on spiritual healing. So I called a friend who also studied Science and Health and asked her to pray with me.
