Healings span three generations

During the last several years, I have enjoyed training for and competing in local running races, including triathlons. I begin each of my workouts by thinking about an inspiring passage from the Bible or Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and those ideas become the focus of the workout rather than the physical training. If I understand those inspired thoughts more deeply, and put them into practice, then I feel that my training is successful.

While running a midsummer race, I felt a sharp pain in my foot. After the race I could barely put any weight on it. My means of treating the injury was to turn to God in prayer, as I had been doing regularly with each workout. I had another race coming up the next day, and it didn't look as if I would be able to participate. I prayed to realize that every step was ordered and governed by God's unbreakable laws of good.

I also talked about my need for healing with my eight-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Josie-Dee, and she said she would help me pray about it. That night I had to smile when I found quotes from the Bible on my pillow. She had researched and prayed with them herself.
