Where do you look for love?
I Dropped My Kids at school and contemplated what to do next. Should I drive to my friend Melanie's house, or go home and paint the living room? Instead of deciding, I thought I would listen for the answer. From experience, I've learned that when I listen to an angel—a message from God—instead of just to myself, I'm never steered wrong.
After I finally quieted the pros and cons that were keeping me in a decision-making loop, the answer came through clearly: "Go see your friend."
Forty minutes later, Melanie and I got settled on the couch with our hot drinks for a good talk. We'd just found our conversational rhythm, when a woman showed up to care for Melanie's house plants.
