Welcome home
Several years ago I moved from California to the East Coast. While driving across the United States, I remember thinking how thankful I was that when I arrived in Rhode Island, there would be a place for me to live.
It would only be temporary, and winter was coming on, but at least it was a start. Those first three months passed quickly. Soon I would need to find a permanent home, and with very little money saved, I wasn't sure I could come up with anything suitable.
I started by searching the classified ads in the newspaper to see what was available to rent for the coming winter. I made several phone calls, but nothing sounded right. I didn't want to give up. I knew I had been doing my best to follow God's plan, which was loving and kind—He would not have me camping out in the snow.
