A Mom and Dad for everyone
"Mom?" Henry paused. "Dad?"
He was used to calling out for help if he needed something. It didn't much matter which parent came to help with the directions on his math homework or to find his cleats for soccer practice. Pretty soon one of them would be there, and he would have what he needed.
Before long, Henry didn't even pause between asking first for Mom and then for Dad. He'd shout, "Mom? Dad?" And then it just became "Mom-Dad."
