When I saw how high the ropes were, I got scared
At camp last summer, I decided to try a course called "High Ropes." But when I saw how high the ropes were, I got scared. You had to go 65 feet in the air (attached only to a wire), and all you had to balance on was another wire under your feet. It looked hard!
For the first two days I went up, but I came right back down. On the third day, I finally did the mini-course. It was fun.
On the fifth day I started on the whole course. There were lots of different "challenges" on the course—things you had to climb or walk over or figure out a way to get across. On the ground it might have been easy to walk across one little log, for example, but it was a lot harder all the way up in the air. When I got to the second "cargo net" (one of the challenges), I was really scared (even though I knew I had ropes attached to me to keep me from falling). I started to pray.
