I'm back to playing my French horn every day
My name is Brady and I'm 12 years old. When I was ten, I began to learn how to play the French horn at my school. You have to blow really hard to make the right notes. It takes lots of energy. Halfway through the year I became unwell. I had a cold and a bad cough. For a few days I felt very weak. I couldn't even play or go to school.
My mum and I decided to pray. I go to Sunday School where I'm learning that I can pray to God for help with any problem. I remembered that the Bible says that God made everything good. God didn't make anything bad. So sickness wasn't true about me. I'm God's child.
In a short time I stopped coughing. I felt much better. So I started to practice the French horn again. I was blowing into it when all of a sudden something popped in one of my ears. It hurt a lot. I was scared that I'd blown too hard and injured my eardrum. I couldn't eat my dinner properly. So my mum and I rang a Christian Science practitioner to help us with our praying. The practitioner told me that God's power protected me. God's love completely surrounded me. Nothing could ever break it apart or put even a little hole in it. I couldn't be hurt. I was safe in God's care.
