Reaction to tick bite healed through prayer
Three years ago, I was bitten by a tick. I removed it from my body myself. Soon I developed symptoms of Lyme disease. I had heard a great deal about these symptoms from friends I had been visiting, who frequently spoke about the prevalence of the disease in their area.
It's my custom to pray each day to establish the conviction that "the kingdom of God is within me," that I have my origin and being in God, that God is completely good, and that I can never be separated from His goodness. This prayer has healed me.
But in spite of my daily prayers along these lines, the disease symptoms persisted. Just as I would find the disappearance of pain or stiffness in one part of my body, they reappeared shortly after in some other part. Each reappearance caused me to pray more specifically to see evidence that there could be no illness with power over me because God was the only power over me.
