Reliance on God's love
Thanks for the two articles about lasting marriage in the April 23 issue. It's refreshing to see articles dealing with the dedication toward one another through reliance on God's guidance and love. I've seen this loving dedication in my own family life.

Right Way the only way
Thanks for the cover feature, "Egil Krogh—integrity intact" (May 7). It made me think of all the decisions that come up in everyday living, where it's so easy to slide into doing something that doesn't feel quite right, but maybe just this time for this reason or that. Another great support article to point out that the right way is the only way, and, better yet, the guidance to do right is always with us for the asking.

Common ground
"Beyond face, race, nationality—God" (May 14) brings out what is needed in these cross-cultural areas. It's more than tolerance. It's the desire to find common ground and build from there, not to get rid of the other person. It means that one should stop and think about the fact that we are all brothers and sisters in the family of God.

Million Mom March
I was disappointed to see such a supportive item in your May 7 issue regarding a political subject that is based on fear: The "Million Mom March" item states that they are "hoping to build awareness of the need to protect children from guns." To believe that we can protect our children by ignorance would be contrary to Jesus' and Mrs. Eddy's directives. We must be more vigilant and less fearful. Educating children to be wise to potential dangers is one answer.
I can read the newspaper for what the mainstream media wants America to hear; in your periodicals, I expect nothing less than spiritually substantial articles.
