Free from chronic pain
I had called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me for healing of severe back pain. The pain had appeared after I did some heavy work in our garden.
When the practitioner told me that the healing wasn't about ending pain or strain, but about knowing God, I had some thinking to do. I had to stop believing that something could cause pain or disable me, an idea of God.
The practitioner asked me to think about "the scientific statement of being" in Science and Health (p.468).
