Staying in the game
One of my favorite activities is playing basketball. I play several nights a week. Recently when I was playing in a game, I sprained my ankle. I tried to keep playing, but I couldn't
I left the game and began praying for myself. I asked my father, who was watching the game, to help me pray. Together we prayed to understand that I was the reflection of God and that nothing could interrupt that reflection.
I remembered a comforting passage from Isaish that said, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (41:10).
I asked my father who was watching the game, to help me pray.
Immediately, my ankle began to feel better, and, shortly afterward, I was able to play some more. Feeling God's protection, I was able to play comfortably for several more hours that night. I didn't have any more trouble with the ankle. I am extremely grateful for this.
