The battle of the zombies
Victory over violent imagery.
When I showed up early from work one day a couple of years ago, I think I surprised my teenage son and his friend. I found them shutting down a video game right as I walked in. And I thought they were hiding something.
I asked what they were doing. Doug answered that he was trying out another kid's game to see if he wanted to buy it used. I asked to see the box. Starting back at me with one eye was something that I found shocking: an extremely realistic and gory zombie. I asked if the game itself was as realistic as the picture on the package.
"Pretty gruesome," Doug mumbled.
