"Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take." MARY BAKER EDDY
How valuable are you?
I was trying to decide whether to be a presenter at a seminar. Someone I used to work with in the museum field, who now worked for a zoo, had recommended me. Six other people and I were to take part in a three-day intensive planning seminar.
Initially, I was flattered. I was looking forward to participating. That is, until I got the list of participants. I was stunned. They were all nationally recognized experts, published authors, or well-known academics in the field. How could I possibly fit in as a part of this group?! I felt inadequate, afraid, apprehensive. I'd agreed to present, but how could I show courage instead of concern, confidence instead of insecurity?
I had turned to prayer for help before and had never been disappointed. Bad relationships, lack of purpose, unemployment needs, housing, sickness—they'd all been problems God had solved for me.
