God's care for children
Original in Spanish
One day, when my son was two, I noticed that one of his eyelids was inflamed with a sty.
Through my study of Christian Science, I had learned that God, who is infinite Love, is the only power that moves all His creation. When we understand the true spiritual concept of God as being Love, our way of thinking changes. Aggressive thoughts, fear, and hate tend to disappear, while qualities such as patience, goodness, and love start to appear. And we can see more harmony in our lives. God's infinite love is always with us, protecting us and responding to our needs.
I also learned the importance of prayer because, when we pray, we realize that we are children of God and that our spiritual nature is perfect and harmonious. This is exactly what I did when I noticed the sty. I prayed to understand that divine Love, the Father-Mother of all creation, is able to do all things, and includes all, and that my son was not beyond God's reach but lived in Him.
