Answer to a friend's e-mail
Your e-mail of a few weeks ago requesting prayers in view of land seizures in Zimbabwe made me think about land seizures all over the world—and coincided with my prayers about recent terrorist acts in the US. Your message also took me back to 1980, when Zimbabwe had just become independent. My husband and I had to fly from Harare to Umtali in a small military plane, to avoid the roads because of the guerrilla war. The flight at low altitude gave us a magnificent view of the natural beauty, and of kraals surrounded by playful children. And our hearts went out to those families and their need of a much-deserved peace.
You and I can join hands in climbing above the turmoil.
