Eastern prayer
Their prayer:
Aggravating and disruptive, that call to prayer five times a day!
Shouting from a minaret—is there no other way for them to pray?
First impression, first reaction, how foolish!
My prayer:
Begrudging and self-righteous, I said my daily prayer times five.
"Since mine is better, it is the one that will prevail, that will survive."
Second thought, second try, still needs work!
OUR prayer:
Now willing and inclusive, my prayer extends to all.
We pray together, stay together, whenever we get the call.
"Our Father which art in heaven" is everywhere, including all!
