A Peace Corps volunteer speaks from the heart

Blake Schmidt comes from Portland, Oregon, and leaves this week on a two-year assignment to teach English to students in the southeast African country of Mozambique.

In his 24 years, Blake has not only graduated from college with a degree in World Perspectives and in Mass Communication but has also visited Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, and, most recently, 13 countries in Europe.

He spoke with us about his hopes for world peace.
