IN GRIEF ... Comfort
I Remember Desperately crying out to God that day for something to take away the mental agony. Reaching out for more than belief, more than faith. Reaching for something solid.
I had to understand that life is never lost. That good goes on. That there's a safety that remains uninterrupted. I had to understand these as spiritual facts. Because I was grieving deeply. The police had just notified my husband and me that our son had been killed by a hit-and-run driver.
This prayer for understanding was like a rock I could cling to. I knew that with it, help would come.
