The Rain Dance

A few months ago, I had a very bad cold. That night my friends and I were planning on going to a Rain Dance at a nearby club, where artificial rain is created on the dance floor. It's usually a lot of fun.

The tickets for this dance had been purchased a few days earlier. But I became afraid that my cold would get worse if I went to the dance.

I spoke to my Sunday School teacher about it, and he told me that I was enveloped in God's love and warmth. And that only good was contagious. Water had no power to harm me since matter had no power. He also asked me to think about the meaning of these two sentences from the scientific statement of being in Science and Health: "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all" (p. 468).

That night, I went to the Rain Dance and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The cold disappeared and I was completely well. I am so grateful for Christian Science and all the healings I have had.
