LEARNING TO LOVE READING

Have you ever had to deal with a child who just wasn't interested in reading? It seems the harder you try to help the child see the joys of reading, the more resistance you get.

Well, I was that child. I even made my younger sister read the Sunday funnies to me, because she was a better reader.

But I learned to love reading through studying Christian Science. I reasoned that being a nonreader was incompatible with being a serious student of the Science that governs my life and brings it great joy. I learned to love reading because I loved what I was reading. And I've had many proofs of the effectiveness of its mighty truths in my life.
