Head injury quickly healed

A few months ago, as I was leaving my sister's house after helping her with chores, I fell over backward, hitting my head on the concrete driveway. I have no idea what caused the fall, but I do remember that as I was falling I said out loud, "There are no accidents in God's kingdom."

I felt no fear, swelling, or pain.

A caring neighbor came to help me up and into my sister's home. My head was bleeding quite heavily. I applied a damp cloth to the area, and shortly the bleeding stopped. All this time I was knowing that I was the reflection of God's goodness, and therefore could not suffer from injury.

As soon as the bleeding stopped, I drove home. Upon arriving, I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner. With the help of her loving prayers, I felt no fear, swelling, or pain—and no more bleeding.

The next day someone cleaned the wound and applied a small patch. She remarked how beautifully it was healing—that it looked like someone had taken small, even stitches to close the tear. The next time she looked at it to apply a new patch, she said it was difficult to see where the tear had been.

I am so grateful for this proof of God's ever-present care—and for the loving help of the practitioner and the nurse.

My gratitude goes far beyond this one healing—because over many years I have experienced many proofs of God's love.
