Child prays for himself at school
One day in school I was in my classroom, getting ready to switch classes for math. When my teacher told me to line up, I felt I couldn't stand up or pick up anything. I had a stomachache. So I told the teacher I wasn't feeling well, and he told me to go down to see the nurse.
On the way down to the nurse's office, I was praying very hard. When I got there, I asked if I could have the copy of Science and Health that my mom gave to the nurse last year for the school. But the nurse had forgotten to bring it to the new school.
So I sat down and prayed. It came to me that I was not thinking rightly about my classmates. I had told one of them to "bug off" because he had been annoying me. I decided to correct my thinking about them and say "I'm sorry" to all the kids. After all, they are God's children, too. I asked the nurse to let me go back to the classroom for a few minutes. She said "fine," but asked that I come back to her office afterward. I went to the classroom and forgave and apologized to the kids, and then I went back to the nurse's office. I then called my mom. She wasn't at home, but by then I was feeling OK. My stomachache was gone. So the nurse let me go back to my classroom for the rest of the day.
