An amazingly good God
LEARNING to recognize good is like learning to play the piano—the fumbling, ear-splitting sounds disappear as you practice. No law of music ever directed us to play the bad sounds. Rather, correctly following (or obeying) the notes and the rules governing them leads you to play the piece smoothly and beautifully. In a similar way, there's no law of God directing us toward anything that would make us unhealthy or unhappy. Instead, when we look for and follow God's way, we see that the divine law of good governs us, bringing harmony and happiness into our experience.
It was the first time I'd ever read the Bible on my own.
