Have you ever known someone who was genuinely kind to others, always willing to lend a hand, always looking for ways to lift others up when they were down? Someone who took the extra time to do something nice when it was least expected? Someone who just loved others, no matter what?
Those kinds of people are real blessings, aren't they? They make life a little brighter for everyone around them. You just feel good when they smile at you.
I've found, though, that there's often a little secret about people like that. Usually what makes them so ready to love others is that they love God and know that God loves them. And because they love God, they love life—they love themselves.
