FREEDOM FROM FEAR
I am learning more and more every day about living without fear. As a mother whose children have left home to be on their own, I have had to struggle to resist the fear that my children can fall into danger or difficulty.
One day while I was driving home from visiting my daughter, fear kept distracting me with one picture after another of disaster. Allowing myself to be taken in by these frightening images wasn't fair to either of us. So, I took some action to safeguard my normally upbeat state of thought.
A comparison to solicitation telephone calls occurred to me. If I were to listen to the entire pitch of every salesperson who called, I would get little done. So, I am very selective. As soon as I identify the service being offered as unwanted, I politely but conclusively end the phone call.
