Prayer cures back pain and breathing trouble
When I began investigating spiritual healing, I felt it had great potential. At the time, I was getting relief for back pain from a chiropractor and a physician. Once, after manipulating my back, the doctor commented on how much I breathed through my mouth. Because I could not get enough air through my nose, my mouth was usually wide-open. So the doctor prescribed a medication to help me breathe through my nose.
While I appreciated the relief for my back, the medication for my nose seemed silly. My little experience with prayer had been showing me that a change in consciousness is what brings permanent physical healing. I threw the medication away. knowing that my breathing problem would be corrected by God.
The next time the back pain returned, I was ready to pray about that as well. Any time that I had discomfort with my back or that I realized my mouth was gaping open, I would pray. I acknowledged that God, the divine Mind, governs and controls the functions of the body. I prayed to know that my identity and the support for that identity were spiritual, perfect, and constant.
