Skin condition healed

Around New Year's Day last year, some reddish sores began to appear on one cheek. I called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer. She helped me to see that in reality my consciousness reflects Life, Truth, and Love, and doesn't include a single element of error. I prayed to understand better my pure, spiritual selfhood as God's child. When the condition kept on getting worse, I went to see the practitioner. She urged me to keep my thought focused on Truth, to keep knowing all I could see was Truth.

After about three days I was much better, and I thanked the practitioner for her help. In a couple of days, however, the condition not only returned, but seemed much worse than before. During this period I was getting little sleep at night. When I was unable to sleep, I would often listen to cassette tapes of hymns, Mrs. Eddy's writings, and Bible lectures.

I called a practitioner again for treatment, and I prayed and studied diligently to see the Christ dawning in my thought. I was gaining a clearer understanding that I am the loving and lovable, pure and perfect, spiritual idea of God, and that God's idea could never develop a defect or fault. I am the clear expression of divine Principle. I express purity and cannot be contaminated by error. Since I am the reflection of God, my face must be pure, shining with the expression of Truth and Love. I was also gaining a clearer understanding of God's allness and perfection, and of myself as His reflection. After having treatment from the practitioner for a while, I thanked her and continued praying on my own.
