Place your hand in God's
Few Images Are more comforting than that of a father's large, strong hand tenderly holding his child's small, trusting hand as they walk together. To me, that image conveys a great deal about God's presence in our lives.
At one time or another, every man, woman, and child needs the assurance of a helping hand. The hand of God is always there to assist, if we but raise our hand to take His. We do this through prayer to God.
The book of Isaiah states, "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear" (59:1). Unlike an earthly father or mother, our heavenly Father-Mother God is not limited to two hands. He is never too busy or preoccupied. When we're willing to grasp the good always at hand, limitations fall away and we can see the benefits God unfailingly provides.
