To Our Readers

The two eagles were directly overhead, wings spread, soaring. We watched from our canoe as the midmorning thermals lifted them higher and higher. I had read somewhere that from such a vantage point, eagles can see great distances with incredible clarity and, at the same time, pick out individual features on the surface below—even specific leaves on a tree, blades of grass, a slightest movement on the water's surface.

I imagined that if the eagles soaring above were to find it of any use, they could probably see the time on my wristwatch!

That kind of vision is a remarkable work of nature. Yet, there's another vision, a deeper vision, that is absolutely vital to our own lives—to our sense of purpose, direction, and progress. It's spiritual vision.
